What's the best rearview mirror out there? I'm looking for a good one at a good price. If you've purchased one for your boat can you recommend one? Please send a link of where I could buy it, too, if it's available online. I want to use it to see people I tow when they are tubing or wake boarding. I have a 2005 Moomba Outback.

I bought this one because I like the quick release (I remove when trailering). I was cheaper than others I've seen. This will be my 5th season (kept it when I sold my old boat), and I've had zero issues with it.

Are you looking for a tower mount mirror or windshield?

If you are looking for windshield, this mirror is a solid design. Can mount above or below the frame.

I have a tower mount on my boat. This is the arm that I use; Fixed mount. Glass purchased seperately, but they sell that too. Downside is that you have to loosen it to move to fold the tower down.

Which would y'all recommend? I have a tower. I just want the best economical one that I can use to easily see people behind me on the tube and wakeboard while I'm driving.

Thanks for the link. I think I'll buy a monster one but what do you think of this one on sale:

yes that would be a nice one too. I have to remove mine or move it to get the boat in my garage so I got the quick release mount. The one you have the link for would have to be loosened with an allen wrench if you needed to move it. If that's not a concern, I'd go with it.

monster tower quick release arm and mirror is what I have. Bought if for my old 03 LSV and liked it so much I kept if for the 08, easily adjustable for sitting down in the seat or when the bolster is up, removable for trailering or when its not needed and rock steady when in choppy waters

I have the Monster Tower quick release arm as well, love it. I went with the Cipa Extreme mirror which has the ball and socket mount, so you need this adapter to use the Extreme mirror with any of those arms.

Don't an the aerial tower mirror- mine broke after 1 year and even though it has a 5 year "warranty" they want $50 to replace the 10 cent plastic bushing that broke.

Another vote for the monster quick release. I have the same set up as KSmith. I like being able to stow it while trailering so it doesn't act as a bug catcher. Rock solid when in use. I carried mine over from a previous boat so I've had it about 7 years now and it still looks and works perfect. Not as fancy as some others but 100% functional and relatively inexpensive compared to some others.

I don't know what kind of mirror bracket I have, but the best mirror in my opinion is the CIPA Extreme;

I have the aerial quick release as well. I have had it for 2 years and it's very solid.

that's the one I have- it's solid except for the little plastic bushing that holds the ball in the socket; I don't have a gripe with the mirror as much as the run around I got from the company when I tried to get it fixed. It's probably a 50 cent piece of plastic, but the first time I asked the guy he said it was backordered- call back in 2 months which I did. That time when I called back he said I just needed to purchase a new mirror for it for $49.99. So then I pointed out that mine was still under warranty could I just swap out for a new one? Well $49.99 was the special price since it's still under warranty.

I call that the Tommy Boy warranty.

The mirror isn't bad but the company didn't stand behind their product in my case. Here's a pic of the piece on mine that broke- not worth 50 bucks especially under warranty

Does anyone know the tubing diameter of the Moomba stock 6 legged towers. I have been reading your messages, and you have convinced me to buy one from monster tower. Just want to get the right one. Thanks for all the great information.

your tower diameter should be 1 5/8" might have to get some inserts for the clamp to fit snug

It's 1 5/8. On MonsterTower's website you want to order the Universal clamp for fit. I just placed an order myself :)
I wanted Samson's extreme tower mirror but couldn't justify the $300.

I've looked at the mirrors in the links in this forum. I'm trying to find a replacement since I just busted mine. I would like the CIPA Extreme like what is shown below but not sure if it will mount to my mirror arm that I already have.

http://www.amazon.com/CIPA-M2022-UNAS-Universal-Mirror-Black/dp/B002LRZ0R8

I don't like the style like what is shown below.

http://shop.monstertower.com/images/PRODUCT/medium/40.jpg

The one I just broke was like this. And the plastic parts on the back broke. Also, the part that goes around the mirror mount that is plastic as well no matter how tight I tightened the screw the mirror would still move. Every time you hit a wave or anything the mirror would move. Really annoying. Well in the process of trying to fix it or atleast make it better I completely broke it.

I would rather find a mirror that has a mount like this because I feel it would be better and would hold place better.

Just an update - received my monster tower mirror arm and CIPA adapter and used it on 2 outings and as everyone else states..............solid as a rock.
Great product/price but pretty plain looking compared to some of the others. I would definitely recommend this product.
