I've been looking for different options for replacing my worn guide pole covers and decided to try it myself. I already had some canvas material from a previous boat, so following is the pictorial progress of this project.

By the way, just out of curiosity I went to a local dealership that sells ski/wakeboard boats and was speechless when I found covers available for $60 each.

The foam set me back about $10 dollars for a 6 foot section. It is 2". The sewing will set me back a few favors from the wife, but well worth it.

p.s. When I saw the acronym Break Out Another Thousand, I didn't think it meant for each part of the boat.

Nice way to save a few pennies. I am shocked about the price of these things. You would think they were made out of rich Italian leather or something.

Wish I knew about these before I started. $31 is a realistic, reasonable price. Probably cost another $10 to ship it, but I would have bought these in a heartbeat.

Not a big deal. Didn't take too much time to get mine done.

Just as well. I'd rather put $120 into the gas tank than these guides.
