Meet Crash. He is an 8 week old GoldenDoodle. His name defines him to the core. If he isn't crashing into something, its because he is laid out asleep from a previous crash. We absolutely adore him.

Just wanted to give an update on crash, he is 10 weeks today, and quickly approaching a solid 20 pounds. He absolutely loves the water, but is still unsure of the boat while it's moving. If we set him off the platform into the water with his vest on, he demonstrates just how lazy he can be....I've never seen a dog just float there, with absolutely zero attempt to paddle whatsoever.

Here are a few shots of him over the past few weeks

I love it!

Your other dog reminds me of ours; we have 2 Multi-poos. I don't have any pictures of them after swimming, but they have the same 'wet rat' look!

we have two mini dachshunds and they have never really been around water much. last time we were at the lake house they actually walked down to the waters edge and ran and played in it. got all the way up to their backs! only 6 inches haha. we have been talking about getting them some life jackets and taking them on the boat

HA! I was going to ask how that rat got on Dusty's ride. But, all good pirate ships have a bilge rat, don't they?

Got this little bugger a few months ago. She was the only one that stayed out with me the entire time cleaning the boat.

Drew, is that a Pug mix? A Boston Terrier? Nice looking dog. We have two pugs...one loves the boat and water, the other not so much.

Bob, you got it exactly! She is a bug - part Pug, part Boston Terrier. Great disposition & friendly dog.

Figured since I updated the other thread I would throw a new pic of Crash up. He turned 1 on May 12. He weighs 70 pounds now, and is turning into a great dog. He is pretty attached and dependent, which gets a little annoying...he always has to be touching someone. He for sure has two personalities, he has the cool chilled out "wise" attitude from the Golden half of him...and then the damn poodle takes over and he is like a 4 year old hopped up on 15 mountain dews and spoonfuls of sugar.

Pics of the goober...

Also, can't believe ole' Crash-man is a 70lb beast. He's bigger than my kids! Glad I don't have to get the pooper scooper out with that dude.

You said it Drew! Thank goodness for our acreage. I rarely see his poop and certainly don't scoop! The mo hawk is his "signature", its there for good!

Dusty - your story hits home. I've got an almost 10yr old labratard and like it or not he's my shadow. Love that dog. He is there no matter what I'm dealing with and never questions my intentions. Always happy to see me, always ready to play or just sit by my side and chill with a cold beer and let the day's worries fade away.

This is our morning 6am ritual of me packing a lunch, and him waiting patiently for any extras that might come his way. Can't imagine my days without him. Yes, he's getting a little gray like me.

Almost hate to admit it but I've got a bond with my daughter's little kitty too. We got her from a pet store, but the vet concluded that she was maybe 6 weeks at best at her first checkup. So for 2-3 weeks I spent a lot of sleepless nights nursing this tiny little kitten with a corner of a washcloth soaked in goat's milk because she couldn't eat regular food. Cast the clock ahead 3 years. Needless to say "Chloe" and I have a sort of bond that compares to nothing else. She's fiesty to everyone else but still loves on me. Jumps up and looks out the window with anticipation every night when she hears my truck roll into the driveway.

Amazing the kind of impact these little furballs can have.

haha, good pic berg.... we picked up a yorkie pup about a year ago, you want to talk about attached... she never leaves my wife's side. she loves the water... but has never been on the boat. My wife isn't much of a boat person so never saw a reason to have the dog in the boat either.
