View Full Version : 2011 LSV Bimini problem while wakeboarding

I have a new 2011 Moomba LSV and whenever we go wakeboarding we always have to put the bimini into its sleeve and face it forward otherwise with us having the bimini open the rope always rubbed on the edge of the bimini and would wear the bimini and rope material down. We even adjusted the height of the bimini with the back metal support rods and it still rubbed on the bimini top. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to resolve it. Thanks for the help!

Which tower and which bimini do you have? Could you post a pic with the bimini up?

I have the standard tower and full bimini and the rope does not come close to touching it.

Wakejak is a possible fix but it seems pretty expensive for what it does.

Hopefully there is a way to adjust bc this was surely considered when building the bimini.

Here are some pics of my 2011 LSV w/V2 tower. I am having problems with the bimini, whenever we wakeboard the rope rubs on the bimini wearing down the rope and the bimini fabric. Anyone know of a way to solve this or have the same problem. I have also already put the bimini pole attachments to the highest setting so I am not able to put it any higher then it is in the picture. Thanks, Landon

I think the rope goes over the bimini top. There should be a hole in the Bimini that the ski rope attachement goes thru.

I think jester is correct. You might adjust the bikini down lower and put the rope above the bimini. That should get you sorted out.

rope goes on top -you may have to adjust the rea down a little now that you raised it

Yes, sorry, however I did have a good laugh when I saw what I had posted. I was just reading last night on another thread about iPhone spelling correction jokes.

Alright that sounds like it will work a lot better. Thanks for all the information.
