i have an 08 outback and want to have a spare waterpump impeller on hand. but not sure which pump i have. i know it mounts in front of the engine water pump and harmonic balancer. it has four machine screws that hold the cover on and the impeller is rubber vaned with a splined brass cneter.
any help. mine is three years old and i am sure it is going to go bad when i have a boat full of people on a sunday afternoon and marinas are all closed.

Don't all of us have the same impeller? Call skidim. They'll take care of you. I think it's Johnson 817b or something like that.

The last time i bought one for my 04 centurion, it think it was like 19 bucks. inflation i guess. Still gotta have a spare right?/

I have a spare and it is a cheep $40 that can save the day if it goes out. I would say keep it in the boat or truck and your always ready. I also replace mine every two years just to be safe about it. When you are dealing with boat bucks $40 is nothing.

I just replaced mine on an 04 LSV. Bought from Bakesonline.com. Part No. is Johnson #09-812B. About $40 but kit includes everything you need.
