So my boat has been running fine all season this year until now. It happened two nights ago and last night. I get in it after not using it for a day or two and it will fire right up. I go out and drive it around awhile, turn it off and it will start a few minutes later but if i turn it off for more than a few minutes, like anchoring for a couple hours it wont start, it will crank just fine. I have spark and about 6 lbs of fuel pressure. I am stumped. The only thing that has changed is that i used almost a full tank of gas in it for the first time this season and then topped it off. Could it be water in the gas?

Sounds like vapour lock. If you can pour cold water on the pump and have the problem suddenly solved for the moment, that's the likely culprit.

I had the same issue that started about a week ago with the hot weather. Try ethanol free gas, use your blower when stopped and open the engine cover. If all this fails, water on the fuel pump will get it started most likely.
