I sold my bimini top and I went to UPS to ship it. They wanted $147. So the I went to Fed Ex and they said $120. WHAT???? The seller and I were assuming $20 to ship! Anybody have any Ideas? And no it does not come apart to get any smaller, trust me I checked. Also shipping is from Orego to Texas. UPS and Fed Ex both said it was because of size... Really? I didnt pay and extra $150 when I got my wake board shipped to me? PLEASE HELP!!

Seller/Buyer split shipping fee 50/50. If seller is no good good with that option deal is off due to unforeseen circumstances/fees

I have gotten way different quotes from different locations. The best for me is at the old Kinkos-- which is now what? Ed Fex office or something? Maybe try one of those.

It was a Fed Ex Kinko's. $120 I am just in shock. They all say its because of the size. Whatever I think its BS!!

They are going to have to start making these things out of those telescoping fiberglass tent poles just for shipping.

Neither FedEx or UPS wants to ship "large" packages which they calculate/estiimate by the total combined height, length, width measurement. So, it's not BS, it just is what it is and the long poles make it tought to ship

I believe that 11Outback V got his shipped a few month ago, but can't remember where/how. Send him a PM and he might give you a better route to go.

I once read on Wake World that people have shipped surfboards on a Greyhound bus.

They charge that much not just for the size they classify it as a non stackable item, witch in turn raises the cost.. USPS will ship for less as long as it is not over 75 lbs.. We ship bimini's everyday and that is about on point of what you are going to pay.. Sometimes if you try and send it through a third party that tells you less it will be returned for miss-classification...
