How many moomba maniacs are also apple fanboys? I'll admit I own a black turtleneck because of steve jobs (j/k), but I do love apple products. Tell us what apple products you own/owned and what opinion you have of the new "iPhone 5" or whatever steve gonna call it. I/we/kids own the following:

MacBook pro
IPad 2
IPad 1
iPhone 4
iPhone 3GS
(3) iPod touches
iPod

OWNED/sold

iPhone
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3GS

I think sprint will have iPhone before end of 2011 and I'm pissed the iPhone 5 hasn't been released yet. Will own it on, or before, launch day

Ipod classic video 120 gig- love that it had over 7000 songs on it and still have 80 gigs of memory left.
Iphone 4 16 gig- should have got the 32 gig but other than that best phone ive ever had.

plan to own:
nothing

I have grown used to android platform phones and have been happy with them, so no reason to change yet..
had an ipod and HATED itunes. it was way too difficult to load songs and it didn't like limewire music, so I went with a simple drag/drop mp3.
use nothing but microsoft products at work and I guess I'm just too old to want to learn another platform :)

This thread makes me want to puke :p

Had iphones and ipods ... Switched to droid platforms, mostly for reasons sandm mentioned. That and I don't want to be spoon fed technology :p

My man KG, throw down a jailbreak on an iPhone, you'll like it. My son has an evo and I just can't seem to get used to that OS. Not gonna knock it but IMO it's not even close to iOS. You and Sandm bring valid points to the table thou, choice is good. GW Bush=Apple, B. Obama=Android

Bout half a dozen Granny Smiths in the produce drawer in the fridge. That's it.

This thread is puke-able but you have to admit that jpetty's new avatar looks pretty cool.

Nothing can come close to the iPhone UI, I've played without countless Android phones, and they are incredibly cumbersome, and everyone I know with an Android phone will admit that the UI is not comparable, but how can it be, Apple is a billion dollar company with unlimited resources, and isn't Android OpenSource, lol.

Disclaimer: all android devices are not created equal. My android experience comes from using a droid x. I have found some of the other phones to be pretty bad.

fwiw, I believe android is google based and yes it is an open source. my distaste for apple is centered around the way they these products and technology. UI is obviously solid and proven. I by no means want to start an anti-apple debate here though.

Jpetty, jailbreak is a much better phone. I'm not sure apple would appreciate your political analogy. Lol :p

That is definately a sweet feature that we don't have yet on the iPhone!

You just swype back and forth across the keyboard, stopping on the letters of the word, but not lifting your finger in between and it spells out the word for you correctly MOST of the time. My buddy thought that was the coolest thing ever on his Android and scoffed at how my "gayPhone4" didn't have it.

I'd like to see voice recognition for texting, emails, etc. become an option.

Thing about the iPhone or I guess most phones like this now is...

1) phone
2) iPod
3) GPS
4) all the other crap I never knew I couldn't live without. All in one compact little piece of shiny metal and plastic and always with me.

Doesn't get much better than that.

Impressive lists by most of ya, go take a swim apple haters!!

I'm banking on steve jobs not being a moomba maniac and seeing the sinful word "jailbreak"

Thanks for the avatar change Kane....

I left out the numerous iPods that I have had over the years and kids and moomba have somewhere....

Mac Pro........the king of apples!! That's a great buy

I will admit that I am a Microsoft fan myself, however I have owned a few Apple products.

1. iPhone 3GS (current but about to upgrade to iPhone 4).
2. iPad (sold)

While I like the design and features of Mac Computers, I feel you can get way more in a built PC. I built my own PC and it will run circles around a MAC for 1/2 the cost (not to start a war). Don't get me wrong, I love the design/creative features/software pre-loaded on Mac's but PC is the way to go - especially if gaming (which I rarely ever do).

Now debating to wait on iPhone 5 or go ahead and upgrade to iPhone 4. Hmmmm

Hold for the 5, you won't regret it. Based on rumors and apples history of past releases once the new OS is released your 4 may or may not be compatible with the new OS

Hmmm... Have one ipod classic 30gb for the boat stereo, that's it. No macs here.

PC's only in this place, all custom in one way or another. Running Linux Fedora 14 on my servers.

HAD an iphone, piece of crap imo, jailbroke or not. Dumped that pos and got a Samsung Captivate, rooted it asap and been running custom android roms ever since. Been running gingerbread 2.3+ before it was even released. Way better imo and i'm not stuck with itunes either.

Of course these are just my opinions :p

otterbox has a great warranty. call the 800 number and tell them it's loose and your tacky feel is now slippery and they'll ship you a new one
