Hi Guys

My perfect pass when set surges real bad above and below the set speed? And now when I turn the boat on it beeps and nothing lights up and the beep won't stop, a hammer is the quick fix at this point. System is not that impressive so far?

Give Perfect Pass a call. They are very helpful and should be able to help you diagnose the issue quickly.

Is this a new install or existing? Their troubleshooting guide is pretty thorough and helps you zero in on the exact issue. Usually it comes down to a wiring issue.

I had exactly the same problems in my 2008 XLV
This post is kind of old, but if you havent fixed the problem, I can tell you what I went thru -- drop me an email I kept notes on everything I fixed.

In short the "constant beep" was low voltage to the module -- in my case contact cleaner and re-seating the connectors at the master module fixed the "beep"

for the surging problem, I had to run a dedicated ground to the engine block, and soldered it in to the harness right next to the master module, and bolted it to one of the ECM mounting bolts. (took 10 minutes with a wire snake)

If you have the drive by wire system, Perfect Pass is essentially a "voltage" regulator to the ECM. so if you have any ground/poor connection/low voltage problems, it can do "odd" things.
