I Think 3 out of the six Speaker Guards are cracked and a piece broke out of one today. Anyone found a fitting replacement? Any suggestions short of replace the speakers?

Peace and Thanks

Darren

My speakers are perfect and I have 300hrs on my boat.

What are you guys doing to them?

I have also had this happen, however I first noticed it when I got it back from storage at the Dealer the first year I owned it. In each case, I phoned the Dealer and they sent me a new speaker right away!!

which kicker model are these? They look like these below, if they are the km6200 then the tweeters are wired to the grills, then new speakers would be the solution.

No, mine look like they have the radiation sign on them (for lack of a better term)

Are the tweeters attached?

Earmark has some replacements but not kicker OEM. Maybe phil has some ideas

Check ebay as well, These are black but the grey ones seem to show up as well.

Yeah, that looks like them. Not sure if the tweeter is attatched. I only want to replace the grill, and not even looking for a direct factory replacemnt, just something that will last.

The tweeter is made to the grill and that sucks. You have to replace the complete speaker. I looked for a grill for sometime at no luck and finally took the speaker out and realized why I couldn't find a grill!!!!

That totally sucks.. replacing 6 speakers, when the speakers are good... just BC the grill is bad... GRRR!! thats gotta be $300 bux... I think I'll jsut leave it.

Deafgoose,

I think it may be the placement on the Outback DD Which is right on the side rail and gets bumped into by everyone in the boat! Aren't the Outback V's tucked back in the recess with the cup holders under the rail. Either that or nobody will go with you cause the waters to dang cold!!!

Peace
