So I was at Powell last week with my 98 Outback and my prop decided to spit one of the blade tips off. It was still useable with only 3 people in the boat but now I need to replace it. It is the stock 13x13 OJ. Is there any advantage to changing it at all? We usually have at least 5 people on the boat at all times (cruising and boarding). Also, dumb question, the 98 Outback is a 1" shaft with a LH rotation correct? I just don't want to order the wrong one. Anyone have any good places to get a new one? Should I stick with brass or go stainless? Thanks for the advice.

If your going with the 13-13-1 in Left rotation 4 blade you can't wrong.

All the props are pretty much cnc now so you should see an overall improvement from your 1998 prop. It all depends what you use the boat for in determining the prop , There is absolutely no reason not to go with a 3 blade either as they are cnc now as well. Call acme or oj and discuss it with them and then decide.

Thats another question I forgot to ask; it is a 3 blade right now so would there be any advantage to going with the 4 blade?

I bought my prop from Nettle's. Great people and great service. Answered all of my questions and made sure I was satisfied.

When I had an I drive malibu that we used for wakeboarding I purchased a 13 x 11.5 acme prop. I only lost a mile or 2 and hour off the top end but my holeshot was way way better when loaded up and held speed better.

OJ has a 5 blade wakeboard prop out now. Anyone seen any reviews on it yet?
