My New XlV is due in any day now, only problem is I live up north, ice is gone, but the water is still extrememly cold. I can't wait to get the wakeboard on and hit that wake for the first time. I don't own a DRY suit, and i have never used one. Just wondering if someone can fill me in before i spend $300 on one. Are they a lot thicker, and hard to wakeboard in? How good are they in 40-50 degree water? Thanks for your help!

The Dry suit itself is not any thicker than a wet suit. But the advantage to have a dry suit is you can go in the 40-50 degree water. All you need is a pair of sweat pants and a sweat shirt to go under the dry suit and you should be ready to rock and roll. Make sure you have good pair of gloves too hands get real cold when the H2O hits them. And as for your feet well that is just one thing that you'll have to tough out. But being out on the water makes you forget all about the cold.
