This guy was found and killed in the Trinity River in Leon County, TX. The Trinity is where we ride and Leon County is maybe 100 miles or so up river from where we ride. This thing is crazy big.

I don't think I'd bring my dog out on the boat much if I lived down there or if I did he'd be on a short leash. Can just picture it

"Anyone seen the dog? Anyone? He was just swimming out here a minute ago..."
Speaking of river monsters, anyone watch that on Animal Planet? My son loves it and I keep seeing episodes where they're finding bull sharks way upstream in fresh water. Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaat...

Fresh water sturgeons are what make up the legend of the Ogopogo monster, I've seen some 10' ers off the point of Adventure Bay, right across from our cadin. You would need a gun to bag one of them!
Newty, nice find, how did you know of our freindly monster?

T-100 we camped up at Okanogan when I was a kid and saw all the pictures and touristy stuff. I was around 7... when you're that age with the imagination I have/had, you don't easily forget that kind of stuff.

Speaking of Stergeon we have some monsters in our river too.
The biggest hawg I've ever caught was 9' 6". 30 minute fight then I couldn't use my arms for 2 days.

Just strap a set of boots on him and hang on for the ride. Great fuel saver!!!!

Hah! That's only ONE gator. You should see what it's like where we usually ride:
