So I got the new 1433 prop for fathers day, now since I am gonna have the boat out of the water this weekend I was thinking maybe (weather depending) on taking off the mobius decals on the side of the boat and leaving her naked. Has anybody done this to a red 2005 lsv?
I have searched for it but no results. I think I may have the chrome "lsv" letters made and maybe a small version of Mobius under lsv.
I would love to hear the comment from everyboday.
I know some people love the busy decal look but it is not for me, same goes for the "wraps"

I think the naked looks great, obviously.

The LSV would look real sharp with just the "LSV" towards the rear (where it is now), especially in the raised chrome lettering.

Thats my .02 anyways.

I say go for it. I have a very similar color pattern and the same boat and have been considering this for a while. I'm not really a fan of decals or wraps either. Go nekked for a couple of months, and if you don't like it, grab the big chrome letters, which I think look great.

Got into a discussion of this a while back and saw a blue boat that had some serious color fade so when the decals came off there was a serious outline of where they used to live. (although it was a few years older than yours) Took a few days of wetsanding and buffing to even it all out. Not saying you'll have to endure that but it is a possibility!

In fact here's a link - the pics are still up.

(I've toyed with going naked too but haven't pulled the trigger yet)

I may just peel a corner off and see how faded it is, man I hope it is not 2 days of work, cause summer up here in Canada is way to short and I cant miss 2 water days to do that!

I hear ya brotha...
Sometimes I kinda like the chrome lettering on mine. But that shot in the other thread of straight yellow is kinda sexy too. No decals also sorta takes away the "age" of the boat. Is that a 2001 or a 2010??

STREAK baby STREAK!!

Just like college. Uh, wait, did I just say that out loud?....:p

I was out at the lake last night and I pulled back the corner of one of the decals and i don't think the fading will be a problem.
Weekend Project!!!

so this weekend I got my boat off the lift and on the trailer and put on my new 1433 acme prop, then i stared to strip on her clothes. I really like the clean new look. The only bad part was I only got to drive it from the boat launch to the lift as the it started to storm so next weekend I will report back to tell you how the new prop preformed!
Here are too pic of half way done and the finished product.
