Does anyone have some tips on how top measure the diamater of your tower?

If you have a flexible measuring tape, like one that you can get at a fabric shop, you can measure the circumference. Then divide that by Pi (3.14159) and that should give you the diameter. You can also use a piece of string (non-stretch) and wrap it around and mark it, then measure with a ruler or measuring tape.

depending on how your tower collapses you can get a measurement where it breaks... I can pull down one of the side legs and get a measurement as the mount has an L cut and I can easily measure straight across

Wrap a strip of paper around the tower leg. Mark where it touches itself. Then flatten it out and measure. Divide by 3.1416. Congratulations, you now know the diameter!
