glovebox piston strut

Hey, anyone out there ever have their glovebox piston stut break off of the glovebox itself?? I had a friend out for the first time and he was gonna change the cd and over lifted the box. Looks like it's just glued on. I was thinking of putting in a couple of small bolts instead.

Why not try a two part epoxy? I have fixed center console latches in trucks with the stuff and it lasts forever.

I think I found some epoxy for $2 at Wallys the other day.
