Ok - PM me pictures or post them here. Will it work on an LSV?

To be honest, I don't know what I should have in terms of all of the pieces since I have never used it. Can you list the pieces I should have in order to ensure all is here. I will post pictures after the upcoming weekend. Thanks for your interest.

Based on my research, a boom for a v-drive has a forward offset to get the skier/footer ahead of the splash. They seem a little harder to find but Overtons on line has one as well as lakeelmosports.com.

If the one for sale happens to be of the v-drive style, I would also be interested.

Thanks for the link, I will compare the parts I have that came with the boat and report back as soon as I have a chance, most likely sometime tonight. I don't think it will be a V-Drive boom but then again, I could be wrong. I will let you guys know as soon as I do.

I see it being dropped, driven into a dock, the cable coming loose etc. I run with mostly 8-10 year-old boys. If it can go wrong it will and I better quit while I’m ahead. The tower and new boat are enough for this year. I think it would be a hoot to learn to barefoot and the boom would help the boys learn to ski but just keeping three ropes untangled is tough in my boat. It is one of those things better left until the boys are a little older.

if you are worried about a boom hurting your boat Barefoot International make a tower boom. It connects to the tower no cables as i remember.
the tower is a great way to start kids skiing without using a boom.

the 99 outback isn't a v-drive I don't think, so the boom would be for a standared direct drive.

Z is right. Our boat is a direct drive, and that is all the boom will fit. It is an extended boom as well (longer attachment including to have the skier out a little further from the boat, so as not to get hit with boat spray).

I will post pics tomorrow after work.
