I did a search on this. About 5% or 10% of total boat weight. Is that boat with trailer or just boat? If anyone knows the exact tongue weight of a newer generation OBV 09-11, please let me know. I want to buy a trailer dolly. Want to know if a 600# capacity is sufficient. Thanks

Tonque weight as I always understood it is 10-15% of trailer weight. So an OBV is like what 4500 lbs with trailer? so 450lbs to 675 lbs. somewhere in there, maybe less

10-15% is normal for cargo trailers. For boats, it's usually given as 5-10% or 5-15%. My XLV is 525 lbs at the front wheel, so it will be a bit less at the tongue -- pretty much bang on 500 lbs or 10%.

600 # will be fine no way a obv has anywhere near 600 lbs of tongue weight I'm just not that strong
