found this today. interesting to read some of it. most of the "major" brands of sunscreen are getting low ratings..
not sure what you all do, but we:
start out with spf 30 in the spring until we get a tan
switch to an spf 15 in the mid summer.
apply prior to getting into the sun
reapply about every hour or after a major swim
always buy water resistant.
we have it lucky here on our lake. we always have a dock and take camp chairs. the areas right off the beach/dock are flush with trees and have a camp shelter on each one, so it's easy to get out of the sun in the mid-afternoon if you get too hot..
