I need to drill a hole to pass an ipod cable and want to achieve a nice clean look.

Any ideas?

if you cant find one of those you can always use one of these:

How about removing the 12V plug, use a dremel or tool of your choice to make a small notch in the bottom of the hole just big enough to accommodate the ipod cable, insert the cable then reinstall the 12V plug.

Another option, drill a hole straight through, and use a rubber grommet size to fit snugly in the hole with a hole through the middle large enough for the cable to pass through.

Like this:

Problem with that is the ipod cable has some large ends so you will end up with a hole much larger than the cable itself.

Yup, my solution is completely dependent on which cord he uses.

True, if it's just an aux in cord, your solution would be just fine.

The other end of the ipod cable should be much smaller.

I know there are other alternatives but I am looking for exactly what is pictured.

Would this be a part I can order direct from SC?

That looks perfect.

Too bad they want to charge me an extra 25$ to ship it to Canada.

Here is another link for it

Edit, they want $21 to ship it looks like, but both shipping and the piece itself are less!

This is what I used for my Ipod cable. I bought it at Lowes for a few dollars.

I removed the original USB and sterio plug. I drilled a half inch hole in the new plug. It fit perfect in the original cut out. I put a little silicone on the back side to make sure it wouldn't fall out.

I just loosened the stereo control and ran the cable in behind the already drilled holes. Snug the stero control back up against the cable. No drilling. The boat has enough holes in it already.

Here is my proof. :)

The only thing I forgot to mention is the screws included are too short.
