Can anyone please tell me if it is normal for the oil warning light to be on while idling? According to the label next to it, you should not run the engine above 1200 rpm if the light is on. When I do speed up the light goes off. I checked the oil level, it is a little low, but within the hash marks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It should flash while idling then go off as you increase RPM. Normal condition.

Edit: Wait, that's the v-drive light, right?

Theb light should go off when you give it gas, I believe its a 3 psi pressure switch. My light stays on in neutral.

Nutral and idle speed-light on--normal

Above about 1200rpm and light should go off.

If light comes on while above 1200 rpm you need to shut it down and check things out

*my answer is for the V-drive light

Thanks for the response everyone. I appreciate the insight. I did finally break out the manual and it does confirm that the light should be on and then go off above 1200 rpm.....thanks again :)
