Hi gang, as most of you know i picked up a project boat last year, unfortunately I only came around to putting the engine and tranny in last weekend. Monday was the day of tightening clamps, finding locations of unknown wires (thanks Newty for your help) and the rest of all the little odds and ends. Yesterday I went out and bought myself a Fake-a-Lake (works well) charged the battery and fired her up ...here are the results http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrOpXWlIMEM

To me, it looks like you put it in backwards.

I hope he did put it in backwards when referencing the front of the boat since V Drive engines are installed backwards lol.

Thanks guys...YES i feel very relieved !! But i have this crazy feeling about the tower search, I don't think it's going to go very well. I would love nothing more than the oem rad-a-cage but over $3000 is hard to swallow and New Dimension dose not have the templates to fabricate the tower for the XLV :(

Quite a few good reviews out there for the Monster towers.

Thanks Wolfe..yeah i heard some great reviews but I really don't like the look.
The closest i came is the krypt pro air, but will require some serious mods /cutting/welding/polishing etc etc... I think I will go with that if I don't find one soon. I figured that with the new XLV tower (Malibu style) some moomba owners would swap out their old tower for the new one and could find a used one somewhere.....but that's not the case.

Hey there BullDawg I slowly assembled the engine through the winter impeller/gaskets/sensors etc etc... To mount the transmission and drop it in took over 80 beers 5 guys BBQ sausage at lunch then BBQ ribs at supper in 1 Sunday. The wiring /troubleshooting/tuning etc.. took 2 days more by myself.
