What's This

Hi gang ..just putting the finishing touches on the motor and i am left with 2 unknown wires first the 6 prong (correct me if i'm wrong but i think it's to plug in a scanner) the second is the light blue wire about 6 inches long that seem to fit perfectly on the fuel pump. Does anyone know if they have 2 wires on one side of the fuel pump terminal ?? any help would be greatly appreciated.

After looking I pretty sure that wire should have a little rubber boot on the end and be terminated on some sort of sensor or sending unit that is mounted on top of what would be the the casting where the oil filter would typically would plug in. I'm guessing oil pressure sending unit? The wire looks like it would reach both the fuel pump and the ending unit. Its the only wire of its type/color/size in that area sticking out of the loom.

Make sense?

you were right on the money Newty, the oil sending unit still had the little rubber boot on it....Thanks a million. Also did you find that 6 prong plug on yours ??

Sorry I was so focused on the blue wire I forgot to look for the plug. I'll look tonight. Where does the loom on that 6pin plug originate?

Is this the wire? I see a tag on it. What does it say on the tag? This may help me verify the wire on mine.

The tag # is 801206-24

Alright, its hard to tell but if you look at the other end of that wire does it go to 2 smaller plugs under the computer board?

If so that looks to be your scanner plug. it should have a cap on the end and be hanging off of a vertical brace on the right (facing the rear) of the computer board forward of the 35amp breaker. There is another bundle hanging right next to it but it has like 12 to 16 wires.
Mine has a the cap with a jumper wire I'm pretty sure is for the perfect pass.

Otherwise I have no idea where it goes. That seems to be the only loomed wire that comes out from there in a 6 pin configuration. Mine is much shorter and has no numbers. Hope this helps.

Found it after countless hours....it is the throttle control which is located right under the cable link on the computer board (almost impossible to see) Thanks a lot for all the info...Greatly appreciated. If in the future you require any help at all just ring in , I think I know this engine and tranny + wiring quite well by now Lol
