Traveling with Z5 Cargo bimini

I have a total of 130 miles between my camp spot at the lake and my house, 70 by interstate and then another 60 on the highway. Last year I would pull the canvas off the Z5 rack so as to save on wear. After talking to the closest dealer they told me they always leave there canvas' on while trailering to the lake, but they have maybe 40 miles to go. It's a pain pulling the canvas off and then putting it back on everytime. Just wondering if anyone out there has a significant distance they tow there boat and what they do with the canvas on the rack? I'd like to just keep it on, but don't want it to rip cuz of the the wind. Thanks.
