View Full Version : Dripless Shaft Seal

Just changed the dripless shaft seal in my outback v 2009. All ok during the first 20 hours; but after this the shaft started the shaft started to drip. Any comments what could happen?

Those seals last 4 years. Why did you replace it already?

Deafgoose thanks for your reply. I changed it because water was coming in from the shaft (not drips, but a trickle of water). When i changed found out the shaft seal was broken. FYI i run my boat in salt water and when I changed the shaft seal the boat had 300 hours.

where is your cooling water hose t'd in?
