I asked the guy since it says that it can hold kneeboards also, how wide the spacing is for the boards? he told me that he has had good success with most surfers but on some of the skinnier ones people put a noodle on the tine and it wont beat up the boards.
I have been looking for double surf racks and figured for $173 shipped it was worth a try. looks like he has 8 left.

installed and work perfect, the rope is a little short so I will tinker there, but other than that it is perfect

I keep seeing posts looking for "more room for boards" and the likes, hope this link helped somebody as it has really been the only thing I felt may as I am new to the boating world and taking a lot of info from this site

I like to find something for around let's say $130, then go find a site that has it listed for about $450 and show it to her-- tell her I'm going to get it. She vents on me for a while. Then I go back a bit later and show her the page with the item for the much lower price. Of course I can't pass it up at that price, right?

Kane - a very wise man!

Hey Dawg- what are you loading in those new racks? I ordered the same thing back in January from LASDirect2u but they wouldn't fit my kneeboard or my ocean surfboard between the jaws. I was majorly bummed...

I have an Isle 5.6 thruster from Towanza (tight fit) and a grom board from Lake Wakes. They fit well. The thruster is a "big boy version" and is snug, The lake wakes fits nice.....when I get my big boy Lake Wakes it should fit well with the grom. Maybe I'll find a different way to bring the Isle along, if I had two groms, I would put a noodle on the middle tine to tighten it up. I hope that makes sense (I'm into my MLs and leaving to golf in the AM). I can send (don't get posting) a pic if you want to see it. I can't imagine a kneeboard would fit, my Isle is 2.25 thick if I remember correctly.

Yes - LASDirect2u on eBay and Liquid Audio are the same guys. I've found their stuff on eBay a little more price competitive if you can find it on an auction.

Rather than throwing up some pics I'd be curious to have you stick a tape across the opening of the jaw and see how wide between the bars. They had told me before it was 3" between the jaws and they extend out 14". (their website says 3" too but may not be up to date - http://liquidaudiosounds.com/surfboard-racks-p-52.html) Ones I got were less than 2.5" between the jaws and only 9.5" out.

From the email I got it sounds like they use some different suppliers/manufacturers so maybe there are some variations in the sizes... I still like the looks of their stuff.
