I am looking at getting a new Acme prop for my 2008 XLV. We wakeboard %80 of the time and surf %20. When we ride we have 2650lbs of ballast. I am looking at either the 1235 or the 1433. What are the difference both physically and performance wise between these two?

Hey 502, I would call ACME, the guys are great and will confirm the prop you need for what you are wanting to do.

Yep, Nettle Props are the best priced or they will price match, call JT once you know the prop you need.

Nettles is 45 min from me, JT is great. I would get the 1235, there's no clearance issues on the trailer for our XLV's. Best mod besides PP Stargazer. More holeshot, quieter cabin noise, no vibration, higher top speed (if that's your thing), and less turbulent prop wash behind the boat. I have at least 1" clearance on the trailer but more like 1.5". I also surf with 3,400lbs of ballast.

But what diameter and pitch?

The OEM "wakeboard" prop by OJ. The notorious vibration prop.

I have the oj. It does make some noise but performs well, gets up to 25mph with 2750 nice and quick without using the wakeplate. FWIW i would have gotten an acme if i didnt get such a good deal on the oj.

did you replace the factory OJ with a different upgraded OJ model?

I would go with the Acme 1235 it will work great. Here's the link to the prop and prop puller.

Yeah it's another oj. I'm not sure of the model number but it is a 14.25x14.5, it's the new wakeboard prop that skiers choice uses from the factory.
