Can someone please tell me if there is one pump or three pumps installed in a stock Gravity III Ballast System configeration in a 2010 Mobius LSV?

My dealer just informed me that I have three bags but only one pump. Is this a Gravity III or a Gravity I system? Where do I find a breakdown of this factory configeration?

I thought 2010 had the reversible pumps.. 1 pump for every bag.

My 06 Grav. III has 1 FILL PUMP and 3 drain pumps..

But was under the impression that 2010 switched to 3 Jabsco Reversibles...

I have 3 reversible pumps; or 1 per bag. Same boat - 2010 LSV. This is the factory GIII system.

Problem is I don't have the boat yet but was just informed by my dealer as I am ordering an upgrade.

My boat has 1 pump with 3 solenoids and 3 bags (1 center and 2 rear). Is this a GI or a GIII setup?

That would be a 2008 GIII system. You don't want it. 2009+ should have reversible pumps, one for each bag.

agreed, i thought the jabsco pumps were all standard on the newer 09+ boats.

That makes no sense at all. BTW, it's not a GI system it's a GIII if it has 3 bags. But it's an earlier cheaper version. Now I'm wondering if it was a dealer add on or it came that way from the factory.

Let me try and clarify a few things:

GI = the standard ballast system that comes with the boat, which is one ballast bag, the ski locker bag.
GIII = the upgraded ballast system that includes three ballast bags, one in each rear locker plus the ski locker bag.

The old GIII system (pre 2009?) came with one fill pump for all three bags (plus a manifold system with valves) and one empty pump for each bag for a total of 4 pumps. The new GIII system comes with one reversible pump per bag that both fills and empties the bag. The new system is faster.

I would fight SC about why you are getting the old discontinued system on a 2010 boat.

Well, if you want to type it all out. LOL. Al's exactly right. It helps to get your terminology straight before you start the phone conversations. Good luck!

Finding out more as time goes on. I guess the boat was shipped with a GI system (one pump one center sac in the ski locker). The dealer added the so call GIII system which is the manifold system and the additional two 400lb rear sac's. Is it now making sence???, either way its an older inexpensive system dating pre 2009 and should not be in a new 2010. I gave the dealer an option to supply the reversable pumps and I will do the install myself....no response yet.

Good point Ed, I have SC looking into it as well. The salesman said it was a GIII system as I specifically asked and have an email to back it up. From my understanding 2009+ has the 3 pump system instead of the manifold.

sounds to me like the dealer had a left over old g3 system and is putting it to use, if thats true you dont want it. Your getting a 2010 boat and it should have a 2010 G3 system!

Most of us with the older crappier system have modded it or scrapped it in favor of something different. You don't want it.

I just got my dealer to change my 2007 gravity games to the jabsco pump system it was a big job that I would not want to do on my own. Just my two cents worth. Good luck!
