Fuel pump part # ?????????

Took the boat out yesterday for the first time this year. all was working perfect for about 45 min, then died and would not restart. Due to unfriendly boaters me and the group began to swim the boat back to the ramp about a 1/2 mile away. anyway fuel pump has power but no suction or blow. Did the research on the forum and came up w/two diff part numbers for carter 4389 and 0409. But the dealer says the part number is s501006. i just wana make sure i order the write fuel pump. i have an 05 mobius DD carburated indmar the pump that went bad is a carter with the numbers at bottom that read p/n 152 875. please help quick, would love to have fixed by this weekend. thanks

Sounds like you got it right if there is power to the pump but if it’s not the fuel pump, check your oil pressure switch that is what went wrong with mine. Not sure if the DD is the same?? I ended up changing the fuel pump and fuel filter and then the oil pressure switch. I took the fuel pump out and bought it to the parts place and they had it on the shelve. Carter 4389 sounds like the one in my boat. Good luck!:)

i replaced the oil pressure switch last year. i went ahead and ordered the 4389 from summit. it was a exact match even had the same numbers at the bottom as the old pump did. replaced pump and filter and all is working now. thanks

well i can't blame the 14' jon boat with nothing but a trolling motor. but the 3 pontoons and the Malibu that didn't stop while all of us are in the water swimming the boat along, ur day will come.
