Love all the great comments!! It is an amazing cove, and I have seen some pretty big fish under and around our dock!! We have a launch ramp in our neighborhood that is appx 200 yards from that spot!!! Mountain Island lake is between lake Norman and Lake Wylie and is where Charlotte gets it's drinking water. It is clean and full of all types of wildlife!!!

how's the water temp???

I have only had my feet in the water, not sure actual temp, but a full suit would still feel good!! No time on the water for me this week, working every day but wednesday from 9 to 9 ugh. The weather not too bad, a bit cool today and still windy. Put in a heater just for this reason lol. Would love to have some moomba folks come and spend time on our lake. We have 2 public ramps and as I mentioned our neighborhood has a launch as well. The lake is absolutely beautiful, and has a great sand bar for hanging. It is quite small compared to Norman and Wylie and has no marina on it which means we carry gas, but the beauty and quiet of the lake makes it sooo worth it. Come check it out...you won't be disappointed.

Charlotte is a great place to visit. Besides the lakes we have Carowinds, the nascar museum (if you're into that lol) lot's of great places to eat. Overall a really nice town. As to the commute from Montana, I agree that would be quite a way to go lol.
