Well, I finally did it! As some of you may have seen in the "How Many Hours..." thread I am picking up my new (to me) boat! It's my first boat and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am! I'm sure many of you have felt the same way.

Its an '05 Mobius LS. It has a black powder coated tower, racks, perfect pass, wake plate, bimini top, full cover, tandem axle trailer, Kicker KMT6 Tower Speakers and Kenwood Amp. The bow speakers are Polk Audio (not sure what model). I believe the others are factory (No idea why they wouldn't have replaced them all) I will need to check. I'm planning on pulling them and putting in Polk DB651's.

It has the rear ballast but I wanted one in the ski locker as well so as I type this the boys at Diamond Lakes Watersports (http://www.diamondlakeswatersports.com) in Hot Springs, AR are putting one in with the Fly High W704 Bag. Total ballast weight will be around 760 lbs. I'll get a 750 fat sac later for surfing. It also didn't have the transom remote so they are installing that as well.

Those guys at Diamond Lakes are awesome guys! I highly recommend them, to me its worth the drive.

It's a 4 hour trip from here to there so me and my boys (ages 5 and 9) are leaving around 6:30 AM to pick it up around 10. The boys have no idea that we are doing this so it is a total surprise! I don't know which I am more excited about getting the boat or their faces!

When we get back I will throw up some pictures and tell you all how the trip went...

***when I get home tonight I will see if I can get up some pics that I took last weekend when I went to look at it. They have since taken the boat off of their site.***

I'll wave when you drive by.

Congrats on the boat and maybe we'll see you sometime this summer.

Oh, and grab you a moomba sticker from their shop. I think the truck is going to need one. :D

Have to agree with you on this. Great guys to work with. Got my boat from them in 07 and bought a few things from their proshop since then.

Congrats and welcome to the club!
You have now been officially diagnosed with Moomba Mania! :D
Signs include but are not limited to: the compulsion to get wet while wearing outragious board shorts. A very large grin that won't go away. Strong urges to Bling the Boat! to name a few.....

I love the plan! How do you keep your mouth shut? It's tough, isn't it. Make sure you pack the life jackets so you can throw it in wherever you want and go for a cruise.

I hope saturday is still the day. Drove by DLWS this morning and there was a huge wreck right there off the interstate. I couldn't identify boats but it looked like a semi had plowed through the fence. The fence was down and the semi had made it most of the way into their boat yard area. Cross your fingers!

Well, it has been tough I wanted to tell them so bad! Unfortunately the secret got out last night while my wife and I were discussing the issue with the radio on the boat (see thread in audio). Our 9 yr old overheard us, spying no doubt...lol, and put it all together. Kids are Mich smarter and hear more than we think. Bit anyway they are both REALLY excited. Tomorrow will be a great day!

Ok, so I'm finally able to get on here and tell you all about the trip and post some pics. We woke up Saturday morning about 6:30 waited for my buddy and his wife to come over so us guys could leave and she stayed home to watch my daughter. Pretty nice of her if you ask me.

We made it to Diamond Lake Watersports about 11:00 after THREE bathroom breaks (I swear these boys must have the smallest bladders on earth!) and a run in with an Arkansas State trooper on Hwy 70 Outside of Hot Springs (Got out of that one with a warning!)
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/eforinash/Moomba/IMAG0084.jpg
Pulled into the dealer and there she was...waiting for me right out front!

I was so focused on getting a feel for the boat I didn't get any pictures of the wake or out riding on the lake. I was just learning what Jon, my dealer, was telling me and just enjoying the day. We stayed on the water about an hour or so and around 2:00 loaded back up for the trip home to Memphis after a stop at Taco Bueno in Little Rock...Man, thats good stuff!!

We got home about 6:00 my daughter comes rushing out and the first thing she does when she gets in the boat is heads right to the Driver's seat!

She is about as happy if not more than me about getting the boat! I can tell she is going to LOVE it!
It was 84 degrees here today and I almost went nuts because I wanted to take her to the lake but couldn't because I had to coach my youngest son's soccer game. So it'll have to wait until another time.. :(

Justin up at the shop was working on me trying to tak me into it. But when we got out there the water was just too cold for me without a suit. I may pick one up this week though and go here pretty soon...depends what the weekend will be like.

Thanks guys I really appreaciate the luv! I can't wait to get her out on the water and ride behind it. I just placed my SeaDek order today (Storm Gray over Black) hopefully it won't take 3 weeks for delivery. The only other thing I'm going to do to it right now is get a sub installed under the helm. Any suggestions? I have an 800W (Peak) Pioneer mono black amp that I will use for the time being. The kids are still excited but no where near as much as me. I've been waiting for this for 3 years! So stoked it finally happened!

that's awesome man. I remember my first ride behind my Moomba- I just remember how clean the boat looked from the end of the rope- just a black transom with "Moomba" written on it- no "lower unit" protruding from behind the boat (unlike my dad's I/O)... and the sound that glorious V8 sound! I always wanted to own a V8 just didn't know it would be in a boat!
