Vault bearing system question

I understand these are supposed to be maintanence free, but I noticed that one one side (starboard) of the trailer the piston is pushing out about 1/4 or 3/8" or so of the stainless protector, whereas the other side is flush. Tried to call the number listed on the vault brochure, but keep getting pushed to answering machine with no call backs. Anyone have similar issue, and is it even an issue? Could be normal with these for all I know....

One of mine done the same. Mine did not have a name on them. Mine were like that for a while and then one day it started leaking. My dealer contacted boatmate and they sent me two new ones for free. I only replaced the bad one.
