We know a lot of you have been buying used ballast bags lately, and you may be swapping out fittings on them

Someone tried Wakemakers tip on removing glued fittings today.

Works like a charm, but you can't be timid about it. You have to be determined and a little brutal with it.

Don't worry, you won't hurt anything.

They recommend heating the joint for at least 5 minutes, he found that 7 minutes with a 1600 watt hair dryer was the ideal time.

And it really does "pop" when it breaks loose :)

Not the way you usually treat your prized belongings but it works.

Perfect, I'm going to need to do this for my 400 lb GIII stock bags.

I think Spencer posted this after he reached into my wallet this afternoon and deftly extruded $500 smackers for my Mojo tsunami package. I told him I used a heat gun on my bags (who's really got 15 min to wait on a hair dryer?) and was slightly alarmed when my daughter asked if the bag was supposed to be "smokin?"

She was totally confused when I said, "nope and we definitely don't use this on Brian's balls."

:)

Ordered IBS, 3 check valves, Y valve, lots of fittings and hose.

So, going with 1,100 in reg side locker with 370 teed to it under the seat. 750 in goofy side with Y valve mounted about transmission cover to switch pump to IBS and stock center. So, that's some 2,570 lbs for the regular side and 1,850 lbs for the goofy ones.

While I'm thinking about it, a big THANKS to mandley who refused to leave wakemakers office until Spencer called me and also to Spencer for getting me hooked up!

Heres a vid on removing the fittings. I had to do it when I got my new 750s....I used a regular hairdryer and about 10 minutes or a little less...EASY

Yep, I followed it to a tee and went smoothly for six fittings.... Thought about using the heat gun, but did not want to ruin bags

Why did you have to remove the fittings E4? When I got my 750's about a month ago it was just an easy plug and play from boat to the fitting that were shipped with my bags. Am
I missing something here?

I bought the Moomba upgrade kit from Wakemakers and the bags came without the fittings so I used the fittings that were in my existing 400s. I too thought it was plug and play by the description on the site but it wasn't.

BTW: I got the stickers and will be shipping them out as soon as I can get big enough envelopes to mail them in. They should go out either tomorrow or Wed.

That's the same thing I got brotha, got all kinds of fittings in the box. It was kind of under/middle of bubble wrap. May want to check your box? Even got those fancy vent fittings everyone been talking about. All came with the Moomba upgrade I ordered

Anytime man, i have the direct connect with Exile and Wake Makers as i goto there shop almost every week to shoot the shiz and keep up to date on the newest stuff commming out. Also just pretty good friends with everyone there.

Yesterday after i helped you i went with Brian to Sampson in Washington and we unloaded 100 pairs of XM9s from the container, and then loaded it in the Exile trailer. Headed back to OR so he could get some orders out.

Basically what Wolf does with Atlanta Marine i do with Exile and Wake Makers
