I just looked at the 5 day forecast- freezing rain tonight and lows in the 20s with rain/snow over the weekend!!! I'm glad the moomba fits in the garage! Guess I'll just sit in it this weekend and listen to some tunes. (and you thought this was going to be another thread about deleted posts lol)

On the Cali west coast we've had nothing but non-stop storms, some big ones. Everything is saturated, the lakes are almost all full and most are 100% or more over average. The river right next to my house is due to hit over flood stage friday sometime, not good. While i'm on higher ground with no fear of flooding, the other side of the river isn't and it will be miserable if it happens, did it in '97 and it was a mess. We're normally 70+ degrees by now, lucky to see 60. Snow is piling up in the Sierra with over 6' in the last week.

seriously I had the boat out wakeboarding last weekend and now it's in the garage with a heater and they're calling for 1-2" of snow this weekend. guess I'll go back to the wood burning forum for a week or so.

so yall get in that with just shorts? i have been in 72 degree water before and it was cold but not unbearable. I can't imagine 5 degrees being that different but then again it is water....

last year at the end of the year I got in 62 degree water in shorts with air in the 80s- it was refreshing. personally I would just jump in at 67 but probably the more south you live the less tolerant you are of cold water. If you have a shortie maybe bring that along.

4th of July camping trip 2010. Weather finally cooperated with air temp 91, water temp right around 61 however.

Floating there waiting for the rope to get tight wishing I had a w-w-w-wet s-s-s-uit-t-t and was seriously considering going in to town that first night and doing some shopping. Never did though. The short seasons make you a little tougher I guess

I wonder how long it will take all the snow meltoff in the rivers to warm up this year.

I guess I am pretty much stuck home this weekend too. Supposed to rain all weekend. Depression is setting in.
