Anyone running about 1500 lbs in an older pre 06 lsv or 06 to 08 obv with the oj 13 x 17 prop....

Just wondering if my spring IBS project is going to force me to a new prop. I still like to slalom so i still need the speed.

Idk if this helps but i've ran 2700 pounds in my lsv with the standard 13.7x17.5 and it still got out of the hole pretty decent. I put the plate all the way down till I got close to my seet speed tho just to help out.

Sorry didn't realize this was in the wakesurfing forum, I was talking about wakeboarding but I think it should still apply because when wakesurfing you're not actually trying to plane out.

Yes you can, if you have some moveable ballast (friends) then that helps too.
We surfed and boarded last summer for two weeks straight with the factory gravity 3, + 4, 5, 6 moveable ballasts...:)

the other great thing about moveable ballast is that they can help with fuel costs!

yes you can, I dont have any ballast on the port side and have surfed it with just the driver and the wake plate up, wave was small but I did free surf
