So, I have always loved the Moombas. I spent three years wakeboarding behind an 08 Moomba Mobius lsv. Awsome boat, but it was time to get my own. I just picked up an 03 Outback V for $23k. 700 hours, 6 tower speakers, dual batteries, sub woofer, OJ wakeboard specific prop, upgraded triple ballast, perfect pass. It needs new snap down carpet and the seats are starting to show its age. Still very uasable, just a few cracks and rips here and there. So heres my two questions.
1. Was $23k a good price for a board ready boat?
2. With 1400lbs of ballast and 5 people, how will this boat compare to the Mobius LSV?

Congratulations on the boat and welcome. Lots of info and help on here. That boat sacked out will throw plenty of wake.

Welcome! You'll need to plan to come to our get-together on Sinclair July 9-10th to meet more Moomba owners.

Welcome. I can't answer your questions, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Welcome to the club, sure seems to be growing rapidly. Your boat is no different than a 03 Mobius LSV since you have a tower and balast. That hull likes lots of weight up front for wakeboarding and throws a good surf wake with 750lbs in the rear corner.

IMO you paid too much for the boat and hours. My buddy just traded his 03 LSV with Perfect Pass, 3 bag ballast, no tower speakers, 450hrs, minimal interior wear, good carpet. You could of bought his for probably $20,000 as private sale (not dealer). I have no idea what the dealer gave him but traditionally you know they don't do good deals on trade in. As long as you're happy then it's a good deal on your boat.
