I have used these guys and they have a wide selection. Very helpful in the process.

Look in the yellow Pages under Plastics, fabricating or rods/sheets/tubes. I buy 4x8 sheets of the stuff and make hefty trays for dog kennels. You can get any thickness you want and in black or white.

MY GOD - looked at the Interstateplastics and a 4x8 sheet of 1/4 inch is $156 and shipping to me is $217. Now that's a deal at $373 for a sheet of the stuff :-? Don't think so!

I get 3/8" ABS 4'x8' for $70 a sheet where they want $560 a sheet. Check with your local plastic fabrication company. Pretty cool place to go as they make everything from custom plastic boxes to trophies using clear blocks and frosting the ends with their heat guns. I even started plastic welding after the guy showed me how to do it. I started by making a winch cover for my Jeep with the same 3/8" thickness as the steel bumper. He only sold in 4x8 sheets so I started building other stuff. You can cut the sheets with the same tools as wood except you use fine teeth on the blades.

Still have mine and will never sell it. 210,000miles and runng strong.
Someday I may lift it a little with some nice wheels.

NICE! Stock and clean... a perfect place to start. It makes my sawzall trigger finger start twitching just looking at it! :) And it took all of about 2 seconds to put together a virtual shopping cart of upgrades in my mind.... Maybe it's a good thing I don't have a Jeep right now!

I'm torn, I love the fact that its bone stock, unique color, and the first year of the wrangler (87), but... Wheels, lift, winch, etc. would be a lot of fun.

Good point... it's made it this long being stock and unique all on its own. And the stock route is waaaaay cheaper.

I love that color Newty and I don't remember seeing that color around very much. Nice thing about the Jeep is there are a lot of upgrades available and I got into it sort of like people in the Moomba boat modifications section. After a while, I realize I spent enough money already. The plastic I used really helped and matched up well with the bumper so most people don't realize I have a Warn 8000 winch under there.

GET OUT OF MY MIND! :D

Seriously though, almost exactly. I never got around to the V8 conversion in my mind because I ran out of virtual budget. And I figured I had enough lift and tire to skip the snorkel. Oh, and added a line-x interior.
