For those of you in snowy places, a chance to live vicariously. Got all my maintenance done last week. Temps were supposed to hit 80 today so we headed out. Just going to take a little boat cruise and grab lunch at Wingates 15 miles down river where the Flint River meets Lake Seminole. Try out the new Exile SXT65's and maybe the new Triple X wakesurfer? Temp was 79 and water temp was 62 (that's ice water for us FL folks).

Exile speakers covered up for the ride.

Family about ready to push off and head for lunch.

Wait, one more pic. Make sure you get the Roo! LLTR!

Nice cruise down river and lunch at Wingates-- good BBQ and excellent cheeseburgers- but coleslaw is out of this world. Wash down with some southern Sweet Tea! mmmmm!

Now time for Momma to relax while the kids play at the beach and Kane works on the liquid courage for taking on the water temp.

Gotta love an LSV as the sun starts to fade. Pretty lonely on the sandbar in Feb.

Mother - daughter bonding time. That's a good thing.

Allright, gotta try out the new Triple X board. Ohhhh! that's cold though.

Dang it, Kane forgot how to surf!

That's better, now how about some Exile tunes up there. Hello???

http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee356/kaneboats/IMG_4066.jpg

Getting the hang (10) of this board-- slick and fast!

http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee356/kaneboats/IMG_4089.jpg

Yea, baby! No rope required. That's what I'm talkin' bout.

I'm really liking this new board. I wonder if I could be a pro wakesurfer with this board?????

Uh, maybe not! Great family day on the water though. Hope you enjoyed the day too!

Stacy, run over here and let's take my boat out :)

not a bad idea at all since the wife cant go out in the sun for a few weeks, and the damm trees dropped a butt load of leaves the last week and yard work needs to get done, so Im going out to mow up leaves in a little while, then I will be sneezing, blowing my nose, wipeing my runny eyes for the rest of the day, just gotta love alergies

nice pics kane. thanks for making us all jealous..

how do you like the xxx surfboard? I rode last fall with nick scott, one of their pro riders(lives 20 miles from me). he brought 7 boards with him for the 4 of us to try out. had one that I'm hoping to buy this spring, but had a one-off all carbon fiber skim board. it was like my daniello but rode nicer. they never released them to the public. offered him some cash for fun, but he said he'd never sell :) he's getting out of the biz this spring and has a dozen or so boards for sale, some ridden, some not for $200/board.

Thanks everybody. Had my hand up but the board shot up and landed about 20 yards from me on that one. I picked up the 58" TripleX composite board for about $130 on ebay at Christmastime. I am amazed at how much faster it is than the Broadcast. I have winter weight on me and am pushing 225 right now and it handled that with ease even though it's smaller than the Broadcast. I started dropping back too far a couple times and easily caught back up. It was a fun ride. Anyone looking for a second or third board cannot go wrong getting one of the Triple X ones. They can be found on ebay for under $200 all the time. I can't imagine using my Broadcast again -- I'll keep it around for beginners.

Here's a link to the type of board I was riding:

Nice to see you out so early .Gives us Northerners something to look forward too. As for your temps already. Those are numbers we achieve by mid summer with water only getting slightly warmer by the end of summer..

Lower 50's is beautiful with a 4/3 wetsuit. As long as air temps are over 65.

Jealous... what can I say. It was in the 70's yesterday here but back into the 50's the rest of the week. We picked up a triple x board this winter to give wake surfing a try. I was hoping to here some feed back, sounds like it might be a pretty good board. How much ballast are you running? The wake looks pretty good. Pics were great! I'm looking foward for our season to start.

Noticed you were at the new docks-looks nice-only bad thing is now there could be more people and boats out on your stretch of the river. I would like to make that run down river and have some of the that bbq and coleslaw sometime

I have a surf side 750 in the rear locker and the stock 400 up front. Other than the driver, my 16 y/o daughter, four other kids and Mrs. Kane all sit on the surf side. My photographer, daughter #2 who is 12, sits on the sundeck on the surf side too. 10 mph, wake plate all the way up. River is 20 feet deep in that spot.

There may be a few more boats but the ramps sure are nice. I like having a bathroom available for the kids and womenfolk too. They also made it a "no thru traffic" area. If you remember, the old ramps have an access road that runs right across the top of the ramps so there are always idiots driving through there that have no idea what ramp etiquette is. The new setup is way better.

We can go for BBQ and coleslaw any time you say!
