I have a 2005 Moomba Outback (direct drive). I am looking to buy a used barefoot boom. Two questions, 1 - does anyone have one for sale? 2 - will the standard contour boom work or do you need a v-drive boom to get around the windshield wrap?

Here's the set up for our 2007 Outback. Works great!

I purchased the Barefoot International Deluxe Universal Contour Boom for my boat. Fit is just fine like Deerfield's and will go out either side of the boat (driver or passenger, I have mine on the passenger side)

Not sure where you are, but I had a hard time finding a used one in WI. I looked for a used one for a while but wasn't able to find one that didn't exceed the cost of a new one, by the time it was shipped to me or if I had to go pick it up. Or it did not contain all the parts. Maybe you will have better luck than me.

You will like it once you have it. Good for everything.

That looks perfect, thanks for the info! Will search for a used one for about a month, then will have to break down and buy a new one if I must. It's almost ski season, can't wait!!

Check ebay. I just bought a BFI (brand new) from there for $469 and free shipping. It was the Universal Contour. Came with everything and shipping only took 5 days. Even got a free DVD.

That's about the going price as far as I'm finding for one. Anything around $450 for new is about right.
