Well, I just sold my 2002 Moomba Outback LS. I've only owned it for a year (second owner). Boat only has 275 hours on her and is now being passed on to a family who I know will get good use out of it.

Still currently looking at two boats, but not sure if I will pull the trigger.

1. 2007 Ski Supreme Sky V220 - $28k
2. 2005 Moomba LSV - $22,500

Really wanting the Ski Supreme right now, just not sure if my ducks are all lined up for it.

Anyways, hopefully I won't be gone for too long. But those of you in Texas, be prepared to see me looking for a ride sometime - I have gas money =)

Cheers!

Cody

Congrats on the sale! Just keep in mind that those aren't the only two boats in the world. Keep your eyes open. And, remember, you have eyes all over the place cuz we're all here to help. Good luck!

Thanks! I am really shying away from that 05' LSV because of the hull change in 06'.

I will keep my eye open and see what I can come across here in Texas.

Yeah man that would be great! Anytime you have room, I'm always game. I'm still keeping my boards, etc.

got a cousin here that just put his '06 tige 22ve up for sale. 140hrs and looks brand new, pretty loaded up, my only wish was 4 tower speakers instead of 2, but otherwise has everything.. he said he's starting at 40, but it'll sell for 32-34 if your interested.

I was just going to say, definitely look at the '06+ LSV instead of the '05 and prior.

I don't know if your still looking for a boat but here's a solid choice if your looking for a good wakeboard wake.

not a fan of that natique, it has like no seating and in the pictures it just looks tiny

The nautiques do have a small interior but kick out one hell of a wake.

It's not a great boat... unless you primarily wakeboard and then it's an amazing boat. :)

I live in Houston (Cypress).

I am going to keep looking around to see what I can find.

I almost died today when the guy drove away with my boat.

What are you looking for?

V Drive mainly. I would like to stay in the Moomba family, but open to others.

I would like to find something used for around the $25k range, which will be slim pickins.

Unless somebody wants to go in on a co-ownership :) haha jk!

If I were in your position these are the boats I would be looking for, keep in mind I pretty much only use the boat for wakeboarding.

97-2005 Super Air Nautique 210, small interior compared to new v drives, awesome wake.

How are the wakes on these?

Good price for the boat? Boat has almost 700 hours.

I've heard those make a real nice wake. Check out this 205v its the same exact hull as the original x-star and less than 200 hours.

when i was shopping for my boat i wanted something 2007 or newer simply due to reliability. to me newer and less hours are key. im not a hardcore anything when it comes to boating as this is my first boat and i just bought it in october and have only used it twice but i like what i go, works great for me and since im not going pro ill probably never benefit from the better wake of a natique or master craft.

i really like the malibus but i couldnt get one in the year model and engines hours i wanted at the price i was looking to pay. im happy with my LSV and will probably be a loyal moomba owner for years to come lol

thats the thing with malibu and mastercraft not really many upgrades to do on a boat like that...they are plain sexy and have all the bells and whistles already but your also paying 80,000 for it or more.
moomba makes a boat that is pretty darn nice but also has some cosmetic things that we can upgrade to make it look better and also kinda personalizes our boats to our liking. esp for us northern foke its kinda hard to drop that kinda money on a boat that you have 4 really ideal months of boating and another month and a half on each end if your really die hard.
i never heard of moomba till i was down at lake norris a few years back did some research and asked some questions and found out they have a boat i can afford brand new and still get lots of compliments on its look. it does everything i want it to so i couldn't be happier. check around and maybe you'll get lucky like i did and find a dealer going out of business and make ya a deal you couldn't pass up. i paid 4 grand less then any other brand new lsv and most didn't have all the factory options mine has.

I sold my 01 Mobius LS, and bought a 01 Wakesetter VLX for 20K in Sep. 2009. It has a excellent wake. It had 04 graphics and 04 interior put in it and had 500 hours. Not one problem so far.
