Hi All,

I am looking to replace my steering cable (08 LSV) with a hydraulic system as we have had to replace the steering cable annually.

Any advice on where to buy this from, or which brand would be best?

Thanks,
Oli

wow, you are having bad luck, are you the original owner? what region do you live in. I would think there should be some warranty recourse. Hmmmmm...... How about a little more insight into your problem

yes - I live in Dubai and have to use the boat on the sea where the salt content is one of the highest possible. Even with extremely diligent cleaning every time we use the boat, we still get this issue.

In the marina where we keep the boat, most other owners (Mastercraft / Malibu) all have to do the same - a lot of them now have hydraulic steering kits to prevent this, but I wanted to know if any Moomba owners had fitted one?

Thanks

Hi Olijohnson, I am living in Abu Dhabi and my steering cable broke down this day, could you tell me the reference to get a new one. My boat is LSV 07 and I believe the part is the same.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Someone posted a link for a stainless steel cable last year. That would be a much simpler alternative. I think that it was something on this site:
