You really have to look at what you are getting. The speaker looks like a Polk DB651, which is OK for an in boat speaker and lots of guys have them in cans on their towers. They are usually around $55-60 a pair new on ebay. It's not going to project all that far but it's a decent speaker in its own right. You get the cans and the clamps and free shipping with the speakers. Overall, not a bad deal. You could find a pair of cans w/clamps and put your own speakers in them. You'd probably spend just as much money. Aerial is a "regular" name in tower add ons and their stuff is mostly OK. I used to have their wakeboard racks and thought they were fine. Hopefully some of the guys that run these speakers in their tower cans will chime in. My final word: Not a bad deal, especially if you like the lights and already have a power wire running up the tower for the nav light.

Also, if you ever want to upgrade the speakers there are drop-in choices in HLCD's now (Kicker comes to mind) and you could "recycle" the Polks as cabin speakers and easily match them.

Lots of guys on here are going Exile now. It's a matter of choice but this is more of a budget option it would seem.

I have a set of the Aerial Double cans with the MM651's and love them... sound great and look great. Also they have the hidden wire mount... best looking cans IMO not sure about the lights in front though...My $.02

I saw that same pair a few weeks ago and contemplated pulling the trigger. But I already have Roswell cans with crappy Kenwood speakers in them. I was going to just upgrade the speakers but in weighing options decided to go ahead and start on the tower speaker setup I really want instead. Anyway, I thought the lights were cool. My only concern is -- if you decide you want doubles down the road do you get a second pair with the lights or just plain similar looking ones to run next to them? I didn't have an answer for this.

I have a set of the Areial double cans. They came with the Polks in them. I put the Polks in my abin and put the Bullet 6.5's in them. But Bullet doesn't sell the 6.5's anymore. But they sound great and woeked for me.

May want to keep an eye on these. These are about the same speakers as you are looking at. No lights on the cans though but maybe they'll go cheaper:

I think earmark has some bullet 6.5 inventory left.

Congrats on the new tower speakers. Please let us know how you like them. Don't forget some pics of them on the boat.

I bought the Aerial Twin Bullett speakers and installed them a couple of weeks ago. Look good, and sound real good.

Problem, The clamps are too big for my factory swoop tower. I used two of the supplied rubber bushings but that looks ugly, and is not very stable. I called Aerial and they blew me off and told me to call the dealer where I bought them. I called h20sportswarehouse and the guy on the phone was nice, but didn't have a good solution for me.

if any of you have had this problem, please let me know how you fixed it. Thanks.

Looks like the description says they are for 2.25 - 2.5" tower. It also looks like they have their own style clamp that is not easily substituted. I see 3 options here. 1. Try to make your own spacers that work better. 2. Take the clamps to a machine shop or welding shop and get them re-sized. 3. Sell the whole setup and start over.

I had a pair of wakeboard rack clamps one time that were for a much bigger tower (had an Outback at the time with an aftermarket tower on it). I tried using strips of old rubber waterski bindings to make better spacers. It did not work very well. I finally broke down and bought smaller clamps.

I bought the same speakers and I used 2 of the rubber spacers as well. I cut the little outside ridges off as cleanly as I could. In my opinion once I got them on the tower its not noticable enough to be a problem, and theyre rock solid. I cant wait to get them wired up!

Ran into the same prob, you have to buy the smaller clamps from h2osportswarehouse for an extra 40..
