did you have the red powdercoated or painted or did it come anodized from skiers that way?

looks good so far, but how easy are the batteries going to be to get to if you need a jump? they look kind of stashed in a hard to get at spot :)

I like how you moved the batteries. Might have to check into doing something like that in mine. I don't like having the batteries visible all the time and such. What are the LEDs for or did I miss that part. Maybe it is coming with the next round of pics. :D

KG and Dusty switched the LED's in their Roswell bars to Red to match their boats. Pretty sure thats what he is showing off. Damn Pigs never explain anything.

Alright, finally got a few minutes to add a few more daily pics. I guess I'll also explain what you have seen so far.
1. The batteries have been relocated to the hump to save floor space.
2. Roswell pic shows the bottoms of the can's dynomatted and with new 12 awg wire ran through it.
3. Obviously, custom build amp racks, with all wires secured and routed cleanly in the back, completely hidden. And SandM, I figured you would spot them right away. The large rack has built in Remote Battery terminals that have leads running the the Crank batt.
4. The Leds, Chad has it right. I removed all 15 5mm leds from the factory Roswell circuit board and wired in 5 Superflux Led's

saw the leads, just figured that it would be a pita to get to the batteries where they are. I pull mine out a couple of times thru the course of the year to give them a good charge and at the end of the season to store until spring. I know that you can buy a charger to do that, but I'd rather have a new board for the little bit of work it takes to pull them to charge them :)

you doing that outside? that's gotta be a little bit of a bummer :(

Amp rack is held on with 10 or so screws and all the wires have approriate length to move the rack and set it against the exterior side wall. So yes, you have to take out 10 screws to get to the batteries but overall, not too difficult.

I won't comment on the outside as i must admit Dusty has done almost all of the work. But most of work has been done outside. Took as much in as possible, though. Dusty gets the friend of the year award for the install.

I don't have a lot of pics of mine in process. All the wiring, though, is identical. I'll try to get some good pics of the finished product and get them up.

I guess when they cut things out, close counts!!! I must have measure 50 times when I cut my switch panel. Even though the cut is covered I still wanted it to be close. I did notice a few cuts like that on mine when removing the panels, but was curious since I did not know what the newer ones look like "underneath".

Yeah, I was shocked when I got the panel off. Its a pretty hideous cut out.

When I pulled my panels I started to wonder if they let Ed loose with a roto-zip after too many yuengs & wings during his factory tour!!! I swore I saw wing sauce inside one of my panels!!

You see beavers love wing sauce and that is how they get them to chew out the panels. Just spread it on the area requiring an opening. Its an old but little known trick in the boat building business. Frankly, I was surprised when I first heard about it.

Install is looking really nice guys. Best thing about doing it yourself is when people comment on how well it sounds you can beam with a bit of pride.

I commend you on doing all that work outside as well. I was lucky enough to have the use of a shop to work on mine but the shop wasn't heated lol.

As home my garage is a bit tighter then a shop but its heated LOL.

How exactly are you attaching the new amp racks to the walls of the boat? Just screws straight through leaving some room for the wiring behind?

Yeah, the secondary smaller rack is mounted directly to the walkway wall with screws. There is some squich allowance for the wires to all be ran, they have to be ran just the right way and can't be bundled at all.

Last year i had amps mounted directly onto the walk thru wall (no rack). Just be very cautious in your screw size selection.

experiment for ed:

fill fridge with yuenglings. get a sheet of paper and pen.
1-open fridge door and grab beer.
2-if light is on, one hash mark on paper
3-if light is off, replace bulb
4-go back to step 1

let us know how this extremely scientific experiment plays out :)

Ok, I finished up the 3 batt platform today. Here are a few pics of it, and another tease o the cupholder/speaker lights. Hoping tohave entire project wrapped up before the weekend!

Instead of screwing the panel up could you put it on hinges? So just undo a latch and swing the whole panel out? I haven't looked at the space in mine just yet but didn't know.

Possible, but for the most room, it is unscrewed and moved all the way to the side

Our project is pretty much complete, I've just can't seem to get the time to tidy up the few things on mine like I've been wanting too. We have two components left to install, which one hasnt arrived yet.

The krypts will sound good. Have to do omen of those u tube videos on the water for a sound test. I am impressed with my krypt audio , bang for the buck.
