Do we have any HVAC specialists on the board. I need to replace a part in my Carrier Furnace and no one will sell me the part locally or help me find the part numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Carrier WeatherMaker 8000TS and the Inducer is making a lot of noise. It is such a simple part to change that I do not want to pay someone to change it, but no one here will sell to the public. I am trying to locate the Inducer assembly but they will not even help with the part numbers. Here is all the info that I have.

Carrier WeatherMaker 8000TS
Model: 58TUA100-F-13116
Series: 130
Serial#: 1701A67711

Part number on assembly: 520819-301

Had the same problem when my ceramic ignitor went out. I use this store in Atlanta - not sure if they would ship to Bama...

I have purchased HVAC parts on ebay. No one in FL will even sell you a fitting so you can use your gauges for auto. Can be really frustrating. More government, that's what we need!

Thanks for the tips. I ended up ordering the parts from http://shortyshvac.com/. I emailed them my model numbers and they returned my email in a few hours with the correct part numbers. They should be in on Tuesday!

Well I for one can tell you I "broke" a lot of things trying to fix them!! I love to search Google for "how to replace _______ on my _____; and get a fully detailed document with pictures, instructions and tips on how to accomplish anything!!!!

Second that one. It's a good thing but a dangerous one too.

We had a guy last summer stuck on the water and got on these boards for help from his phone. Pretty awesome.

Thank you for the offer!! The parts actually came in today. I am replacing the inducer/exhaust motor in the furnace. The only strange thing is that the motor came in, but it does not appear to have threads in the bearing caps like the one I took out. I am trying to remember if there were self tapping screws or if I have to tap these myself.
