Hey love my new (1998) Outback even though its aged a bit. Still looks good and runs great. Just bought it 3 days ago.

Does anyone know what kind of oil and transmission fluid I should use for the 310 HP Inmar

I PERSONALLY use Mobile-1 20W-50 Full Synthetic. I also use the M-302 filter as it has double the capacity of the stock filter.

I couldn't find the '98 manual but I did find the '99. I don't think there were any major changes. You can look yourself in "Downloads" or just use this link:

Oh yeah! Congrats on your first Moomba. I'll bet it won't be your last one. Enjoy!

Great year of boat. The PCM engine was the best back then. Just keep the windshield frame tight as it had a tendency to get out of adjustment.

Welcome! Got any pics to show us? Post 'em up on the general board.

Thanks for the responses ! Maiden Voyage yesterday. Turns on a dime, runs great, and looks cool. But on a large lake sure can take on some water even though they were small swells. Is it best to give it some gas to get the bow up through choppy water ?

Put some ballast in the back too.
