Does anyone know a good way to get water spots off a boat. Have read using vinegar or lime a way works well.

Duckys all the way for me. For tough spots, spray on and leave it for 30 seconds or so and it should come off. Bling Hot Sauce works great I heard but haven't tried it yet

Vinegar works good, also it is the cheapest option. Why pay a lot of money to get the same result with something you probably have in your kitchen.

If that doesn't work, then go buy a product that has been recommended.

It also strips the wax so you need to reapply

Heard about Ducky's Water Spot remover and tried it once before I put the boat away for the winter and worked great. My XLV is solid red and black and it took the spots right off I was impressed.

Babes Boat Bright is what i have been using--smells good too

Agreed! I should have clarified. Babes Boat Bright works great if you use it as preventative maintenance. Other products are better if they have developed and won't go away.

I was using Vinegar/water mix. Cheap but that is pretty harsh for an after use wash down every time. Didn't want to have wax the boat that much :)

Depending on where you are, the vinegar will either work or won't. My lakes have a high hard water/mineral content and vinegar does squat on the spots. Babe's Spot remover has minimal success, haven't tried the others yet but plan too.

I use the vinegar/distilled water mix then follow that with Lucas Oil Slick Mist. i wax my boat frequently but then again I enjoy waxing it. It gives me an excuse to go out to the garage and interact with my moomba. I guess I'm still in the honeymoon phase of boat ownership!

thanks for the input. Ive tried vinegar and that didnt work. Will have to try the babes or the duckys. I have heard kaboom works well but am a little nervious about if the product would affect the paint
