need help is this a good deal?

my family is thinking of buying a 2004 outback and it has a tower bimini racks stereo tandem axle trailer and a swing away tongue and a cover for the msrp price and the final out the door price would be 29000

just wondering if thats a good deal or not or if you think i could talk it down a little

Is it an Outback or Outback LS? If you go to this site, choose the boat you would like, and choose the "CUSTOMIZE AND PRICE" button and add the options you just stated, you will be able to see the MSRP price, then just add sales tax. I would think this late in the year you should be able to get some additional discounts.

Is it brand new? As Clark said there is a big difference between the Outback and the Outback LS, they are really completely different boats.

one more thing if i wanted to add tower speakers couldnt i just by water proof ones from like best buy or something and mount them on the tower b/c tower speakers are very expensive

OK. The Outback with the options you stated should list for $29,415 not including tax. Use this as base for how good of a deal this is. About the speakers, I hear that running the wires thru the tower is a hard job and I don't think those Best Buy speakers will look as good or mount as easily as speakers made for a tower. Looks like they are giving you approximately $2500 off. Any other ideas from you guys or am I way off here?

the guy said that 29000 would be the price with tax and licensing and everything like that so i guess i am getting a good deal

which motor does it have ? I paid 31,200. for my outback with all the options plus depth finder and factory ballast with the carb engine

I will be buying an Mobius LSV in January and have decided on the EFI engine, mostly because of the recommendations on the board. Think about what the boat will be used for before investing that much money. The Outback is designed for skiing even though you are getting the tower. This is a big decision.

If your plan is primarly boarding I would hold out for a v-drive. I wish I would have.
Pickup a used one if you can't handle the new price.

I think if you wait a month or 2 you could get a better deal on it, the '05s are out now so that is a year old boat. I would think you should be able to pick up an LS for that price.

Yes you can do your own tower speakers, but by the time you buy the speakers, cans and mounting brackets you will spend more than you think. The dealership should be able to run the wires in the tower for under 100.

i mainly board do u think the outback ls is smoother in choppy water? is the outback not for boarding at all

my family and i went out to a dealer and they had a outback ls with evrything and a ballst for only a little bit more my family likes it alot better but still not ready to buy

The Outback LS is the same as the Mobius, much better for boarding, especially with the dual ballast set up (front and rear) which I dont think is available in the regualr Outback (rear only)
