This past weekend we pulled 12 skiers all at the same time. 2006 Outback V. Deep water start and all vintage Cypress Gardens skis for all skiers. Two years ago we pulled 9 and just knew the Moomba had a little more in her. Took 4 tries to get them up. Nobody fell, we just couldn't get up. Finally had them spread out into the positions they would be in when up and skiing. Had the far outside skiers not fight it and let the Moomba pull them back to the middle. The rest is history.

6 of them just learned to ski this summer. They are already making bigger plans.

OK true story. The first "slalom" ski I ever had was a Dick Pope Jr that my dad bought off the owner of Chimney Corners on Crystal Lake, MI where my family used to vacation. Well when I got that Dick Jr out I could tell it had been used a lot. It was very worn down... but still firm- not rotten at all. So I took it out in the driveway and polished it down. I got some varnish remover and stripped it down, then polished it... a lot. I applied layer after layer of polish and then varnished it till it shined once again. At that point I could tell it was ready to go ride once more. When I took it out for a ride the first time it wouldn't stay up!! What I mean by that is it sank! That's when my father said "Son, you've polished that old Dick Pope Jr way too much!"

I'm just going to leave that one alone.
