Water temperature gauge?

So after a couple days of troubleshooting my 2000 outback ls water temp gauge, I have come to the conclusion that the gauge is bad. The gauge is pegged out and will not reset. So I called the Moomba dealer in Mobile AL to see about ordering one and the guy told me that it is no longer made or orderable. So my question is does anyone know where I can get an OEM or suitable sub water temp gauge? I would like to keep it stock looking as possible with the red back light. Any help would be great....

Unfortunately, you probably need to scour EBAY. I have seen all different types of guages come up at one time or another. The only other option you have is to get one that doesnt look like the rest from autometer or whatever manufacturer you like.
