Well, i decided this spring that i would sell my Bayliner and purchase a v-drive boat.... so i spent the summer looking and on the august long weekend managed to sell my bayliner so then i started to panic :p it was the first time i had been without a boat in a long time so i really started looking. A friend drew my attention to the boat i bought which is a 2005 Mobius LSV. i couldn't be happier... got it out last night for the first time and had a ball, it has the triple ballast in it with a roswell tower speaker/light set up and roswell board racks. The only thing it's missing is perfect pass which i will install this winter. I can't wait to get back out there!!!!

Going from a Bayliner to a newer v-drive makes you wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Congrats, bet you feel like a baller pulling up to the ramp now

sasky - congrats on the purchase and welcome to the brotherhood of the kangaroo clan!

If your not doing anything on Saturday, bring it down to sunny Florida. We'll get you surfing behind your new pride and joy :)

lol... thanks for the offer, but i'm sick of the inside of my truck right now!! have spent to much time in it this last couple days.

can anyone point me in the direction of a company that makes tarps that just snug up under the rubrail and doesn't require straps?? I'd like to use it for traveling and just mooring as well..

thanks

Very nice! Like those Racks :p.

Evolution boat covers are the way to go. I don't have one but that is what I would get. I'm sure someone who does will chime in.

Geoff, if you don't mind me asking, what did you end up paying for the new baby? I've got a Rankin cover but I think they are no longer, great cover!

Its allways worth driving 14.5 hours to come to Edmonton, especially if your picking up a Moomba:)

Im sure you already know this, but Martin Motorsports in Saskatoon is a Moomba Dealer http://www.martinmotorsports.ca/custompage.asp?pg=Saskatoon Perhaps they may know of a local company who does covers. I got mine from C&M Upholstry in Edmonton. My top is the ratchet type that does not require straps. they also made fitted speaker covers to keep the rain/hail and bugs off.

no problem at all... i paid $26K for it. I think i got a good deal. It has 197 hours on it right now. Bjames... i had been in at martin motor sports a while back looking at some other boats and did call there this morning about a tarp... the parts guy told me that the saskatoon location is not a moomba dealer because their already is one in Prince Albert..

saskyrider.... I think you got a great deal also, :D I payed just under that for mine in Washington St. $25,300.00(Can. dollars) Congrats on the price!
I do love my cover, no straps, just at the back to the grab bar and there are 8 hooks on the sides to keep it wrapped around the bumper rail. It's always very tight.

welcome saskyrider. I've got the evolution cover and like it. Cory is the guy who owns evolution and he used to work for Rankin. T100 my cover looks a lot like your rankin- I'll bet they're pretty similar. It goes on like lightening- here's a pick of me getting it covered just before a storm.

Welcome! You will find that this forum is a fantastic resource for all of your questions.
I too am a fan of Cory and Evolution Covers. Been to his shop. Meticulous! The product he produces is second to none. I haven't bought a cover from him because he was willing to help me make mine fit better. Really went out of his way to make me a happy customer.

How much are the Evolution mooring covers?

I purchased mine new from the Moomba dealer. It looks identical minus the moomba logo but it was around $800 CAD!!!!

I don't know about moring covers, but I think his trailerable covers are about $800. Depends on how many tower penetrations he needs to make and whether you want sunbrella fabric or a slightly less expensive alternative that he offers.
